Dear Oticon:

I am a new Adapto user who is very pleased with my selection. Adapto is so light and comfortable to wear. I had tried other hearing instruments before but found them to be very uncomfortable. Many of them whistled which I think is the worst thing in the world that can happen to you when you’re sitting in a room and people can hear your hearing aid whistle.

I’ve been a teacher for 25 years and I experience the biggest improvement in the classroom. I don’t even know for sure if the kids realize that I have a hearing aid. But they are aware that they no longer have to relay answers to me, passing the answer up to the front of the classroom before I can finally hear it. Now I can respond to them much more quickly. It’s been a wonderful experience for me and I hope that they’re appreciating it as much as I am.

When I initially decided to go with Adapto, I had a few concerns about being tired at the end of the day. I was aware that I was going to be hearing a lot more that I wasn’t used to hearing. I thought it might be tiring and at the end of the day, I’d come home and wouldn’t be able to get my hearing aids off fast enough. Not so. It’s such natural sound. I imagine I’m hearing things pretty much like everyone else does now.

A large part of my hearing problem was clarity. I could hear people talking but I couldn’t make out the sounds. The clarity was just not there. Adapto gives a very natural sound. I’ve talked about Adapto to many of my friends. One of the girls that I work with in school has already been to the same hearing center that I went to and has already been tested and is in the process of getting her Adaptos right now. I’ve recommended them to many people. I just couldn’t give them a higher recommendation. Adapto has made such a difference in my life.
